The Gladiator instead specifically refers to when "your edge stack is revealed," which requires successfully revealing an edge stack (ie at least 1 card must be revealed). The Informant refers to the general timing step ("when edge stacks are revealed") and thus functions even with no cards in any edge stacks as that timing step always happens.
This is different than the wording on Ahsoka's Informant. If you don't have any cards in your edge stack, then you have not successfully revealed anything and cannot use a Reaction to revealing your edge stack. Per FAQ section 4.16, in order for something to be considered "revealed" it must go from a hidden state to an unhidden state. You must have at least 1 card in your edge stack when edge stacks are revealed in order to use the Reaction from the Gladiator.
